Posted - 30/06/2011 : 17:29:41 The smallest of our hatchlings has got out of its tub and out of the vivarium. I know there are threads about lost snakes, but a hatchling is so small, I dunno what to do.
I've set up some hides near the heater which is on low. Put a big dish of water, some leaves and his shed that he did yesterday (thought it might smell familiar lol :s) and a pinky is by the heater too.
Please don't judge me, I feel bad enough, just advice please!
What traps can I make? What else can I do? |

thru a 2mm gap!?!? how big is Psiren?
A good size, she's just gone onto small mice. There was honestly no where else for her to get out! The thing was, the viv doors had gone wonky, and she took her opportunity to get out! Doors have since been fixed, and no more escapes lol! I should have expected it, when I went to pick her up at the shop, she'd managed to do the great escape in there and dissapeared behind the mounted heatmat! |

Posted - 01/07/2011 : 19:12:24 Don't feel bad, my Psiren (2010 amel) squeezed her way out through a 2mm gap the other day! Found her under the pc desk thankfully, she's pretty chilled. Hope you find the wee one! |

Posted - 01/07/2011 : 06:50:59 I'm not as experienced with lost snakes as the other members here, but you did the right thing in setting up various traps first of all. My corn snake (also a hatchling) got out after 4 days of me owning him. His next feed was up too, and after a few days past his due feed, he comes looking for food thanks to God. So depending on when he last ate, he'll probably come looking for food some time later. |
