So i've moved harry today from his faun into a viv, the heatmat is under the aspen controlled by a stat, i have a digital thermometer, my question is where best to place it
a) on the substrate
or
b) directly on the heatmat

its ontop of the substrate at the moment

thats sounds like a good idea, i knew he needed moving into a bigger house, but i'm worrying about him probaly unneccesarily like a new mother

also forgot to add my stat probe and thermometer probe are joined together with an elastic band and held down in place by a hide

i have mine directly on the mat as there shouldn't be much substrate on the mat anyway
