how many heat mats can you feasibly run off of one stat ? assuming each heat mat has a thermometer as well as the ones in the enclosure, also how would you use more than one ? is it just with a extension lead ? |

i run several mats off one stat with no probs, but yes if a mat that doesn't have the stat probe on it has a problem then it won't prompt the stat to click off |

was weighing up the risks myself, with prices at the moment might be easier just to grab another stat, thanks |

most stats will have a max wattage so if its 100 watts (which some are) and you have a 10 watt mat then 10 mats though I'd go for 9 and not run it so close to the edge.
Another thing is only one stat probe means any other mats are still suseptible to failure and overheating. I know lots would run more than one mat per stat, I'm not one of them. |
