Posted - 14/06/2011 : 06:36:28 Someone at work who heard about my new pet has given ne some quail eggs for her.
They look small enough for her to eat, but I was wondering if this should be in place of her pinky one week or 1/2 way between her weekly feed?
She will still have mice as 99.9% of her diet.
Also does anyone know how long quail eggs keep for? |

Posted - 14/06/2011 : 07:04:01 no idea how long they're good for but i'd expect them to last as long as chuck eggs i suppose
as for feeding them i'd offer one at her usual meal time either before/after her mouse or instead of it every now and again i wouldn't offer an egg between feeds as corns aren't designed to be digesting food constantly, and i wouldn't be surprised if she didn't eat it either like when i've offered any of mine a chick as a treat they just look at it like 'wtf is that??' lol |
