honestly unless she's super super small they will be fine on a whole pinkie - they can take food generally up to 1.5x the width of their body at the widest point

she's on one pinky a week just cut in half, the woman in the shop told me to do it that way until she gets a bit bigger

just a question but why only half a pinkie a week? my smallest non feeder was on just under a whole pinkie every 4days for a while but that was cause she didnt even weigh 5g's and would refuse anything bigger.. trying to see her poop was like looking for a staple in a haystack!.. she got to 7gs and whole pinkies were fine

If its only eating half a pinkie then a humming birds trump would have more mass. Good look finding that in substrate. I would suggest only using kitchen roll for now and keep an eye out for a tiny black dot surrounded by a tiny bit of white/yellow dust.

Ehmmm.... Well not very big for a baby! and it's got a liquid component so that can sink into substrate a bit. Why? Are you worried about something your snake has produced? :p
Also, why are you cutting the pinky in half?
