Are there any suppliers out there that stock subterranean hides (under substrate). I have being making my little lady hides out of loo rolls to go under the substrate. As she is growing bigger by the day its becoming a bit of a chore.

Do any of you guys do this? Artemis loves having somewhere underground to go and chill, literally - cold hide.

i tried to do something similar with some plastic pipe from b&q (a T shaped connecty bit)... Sanchez decided to bury himself around it and somehow bring it up to the surface lol... i give up! might try it with my baby royal when i get it...

I think I am going to rig up a mould and make a few proper hides for under substrate with a few entrances. Will post my progress.

i use cardboard boxes - particularly those sleeves that often come on tesco light choices ready meals.. submerge them in the aspen and they look ok

I use those plastic hamster tubes. They look terrible, but since they are buried inth substrate you cant see them anyways!
They come in all different shapes with connecty bits too

I do it for my hognose. I think it looks ok :D

You could do that, I had a go and it looked awful imo.

Looks good but surely any box/hide can be placed on the base of the viv/faun and covered in substrate? You don't need to buy special subterranian hides.

Really easy to make. 3 loo rolls in an L shape, held together with epoxy resin that has set for a couple of days and no scent. Being making them for about a year. If no one knows if you can buy them I may be up for making some real trick underground hides (will use better materials) if there are enough people to take one from me.
