Was just wondering on what was the best way of fixing down a heat mat in a wooden vivarium.

I just weigh them down with hides and logs etc. I do still get snakes hiding underneath sometimes and find some aspen goes underneath but my temperatures stay fine the majority of the time

i pin them down with viv decor such as hides too

Some people use aquarium sealant.

puttin a heavy hide ontop of it? I would steer clear from any kind of tape as if snake crawled over it and got stuck it would be incredibly sore/nasty for it.
