hey guys, iv seen in some faun pictures that some people have a thin layer of polystyrene with the heat mat ontop of that, and then the faun over that with a small gap inbetween.

just wondering if it is better to have it this way, and does it matter if there is a gap between the heat mat and bottom of the faun?

sorry for all the constant questions, just want to make sure i get everything right for Chihiro

thank you

i dont think it makes much difference, i just adjust the stat so that the thermometer probe reads the ideal temp - mine are around 29'c

Yup, thats also exactly what I did when I used a faun
