Hi again everyone , got another question.
I'm thinking of putting slash in his .new viv it is 3 ft and the heat mat I was given at pet shop as a set up is small would I need to get a bigger heat mat for the bigger viv?

Surely as long as the mat is big enough for the snake to fit it's full body on, then it's fine.
I use heatstrips for my large rubs and they only cover 1/4 of the base but are plenty big enough for the snakes to lay on. |

i use 17x11's in my 3ft vivs and 11x11 in my 2ft vivs.
Chris surely a 7x11in mat in a 3ft viv doesnt even cover a quarter of the floor space??!! Confused.com |

The problem with mats an vivs is u will never find a mat that's perfect size that's why it's a warm zone aprox 1/3-1/2. I spent ages trying to work our what mat to use. I could of got an ideal size but that ment using 2 mats side by side which I didn't fancy. The 7-11 in my 3ft is big enough to get a large hide on and have room next to it incase snake fancies curling up in warm end but not in hide so it works for me |

is that 7 x 11 inch ?? I was thinking of getting 11 x 11" inmy 2ft viv :/ already have 6 x 11 in my faun I wont bother if that is big enough for new viv :) |

You need ya warm area to be 1/3-1/2 depends what size the mat is u got. I use a 7x11 may in my 3ft viv |
