I got my first corn snake on the Saturday just gone he's a red motley yearling.
Looking at his feeding records he will be due a feed within the next few days.
How long should I leave him to settle before I attempt to feed him and what is the best way, from experience,to go about this?
I have read books and they sometimes contradict each other.
My snake is very lively and has got over the initial shyness.
One last thing,I gave the job of naming him to my wife and kids.
You guessed it "cornelius"

If you leave him for a week to settle in first it will give him chance to get used to the new smells, noises etc of his new home. It also allows you to sort out any temperature or set-up issues without risking him regurging

give him a week to settle in first, it certainly won't harm him
