Hi everyone,

Just would like some advice on lighting please.

I currently use a 2.0% UVB tube for my 2ft x 1ft viv, with my 2ft Carolina female which gives 10-12 hours daylight, and then turn off for 10-12 hours nightime. (as my room is dark, and not much light comes through)

Now, I have read that some say the flickering can make them blind, other's say it's beneficial because effectively it is sunlight, and the UV is what the sun would be if they are in the wild.

Because someone mentioned the negative side, that's put me slightly on edge.

So would like some advice please on lighting (without heating)

What would be the best lights to use for day time - 12 hour cycle, that would not caused blindness, and that also does not give off hardly any heat if any, eg leds etc?

and also does anyone use moonlight blue LEDS for night times and if so does this benefit or have any negative effect on corn snakes?

Links would be great too please, to the product on a website perhaps or ebay

Thanks in advance

centric youve now been asked by 3 mods not to post until admin decide weather on not to unban, yet you keep posting ya not doing yourself any favours by straight away going against what youve been asked to do. u have 2 accounts which one has the no longer active email addie as this profile uve only just set up, but im sure if once admin decide they will put a note on your original post in intros an unlock it or something on them lines. dont spoil it before they make a decision by keep doing the opposite to what mods ask!!

Well email address I have used is no longer active and it won't allow me to change it on my profile

so I do not know of the decision,

but would like some help regarding the questions I have posed

Centricmalteser, Kehhlyr has asked that you do not post until a decision has been made to whether to let you remain on this forum, as no decision has been made you are still a banned member, so shall ask again to please refrain from posting until this has been resolved.

Ignoring moderators requests is not helping your cause.

thank you
