Posted - 07/04/2011 : 12:46:55 John and Kevin were non feeders to start with and as a result of this small for their age. Aged 5 months and 1 week and weighing 10g and 11g. Originally fed by previous owner once every 7 days. When I got them I moved to 1 pinky every 5 days. Today I offered them 2 pinkies each and they both took them. I have only ever fed my other snakes every 7 days even when babies but as these two are so small wondered whether I should stick to 5 days even with double pinkies and what about when they move to fuzzies?

Posted - 07/04/2011 : 15:43:08 I have asked pretty much same question. Lola was only 11g and was so tiny she was on 1pinkie every 5 days but wasn't putting anything on. I was advised to start her off on 2 pinkies which I never thought in a million years would fit lol! Then 2 again after 7 days then drop to 6 days then to 5 where is where we are now. She has put on 4g now a massive 15g so that's working well for us!! |

Posted - 07/04/2011 : 14:29:10 i'd certainly go for a 7 day feeding interval, probably for a month or so, then move them back to 6 days, and then 5 days |

Posted - 07/04/2011 : 12:50:47 the were non feeders so that will explain why they are small for their age, I would go to 7 days between feeds for 2 pinkies, as they are eating now they will grow normally. |
