Had my snake for about 3 months now,was given from someone that wanted rid of it. The last time it fed was 22 Feb. shows no interest in feeding. have tried braining the mice but still no good. Is it normal for them to go this long without food? he seems healthy enough, drinks water ok too. any ideas please?

Sounds as if he could be more interested in finding a lady than eating. It is the breeding season!!

Done it. will give him a few days and offer food again. Mice are cheap enough anyway. Thanx for input.

he only thing that jumps out at me is the temps in the hot end, they should be between 27-29 so turn the heat up a few degrees.

Also is the time of year when males sometimes do go off the food, but so long as there is no weight loss it isnt really a problem.

Ok. The viv size is 36x18x12. Heated with heat mat @ the warm end regulated with a microclimate 100 stat set at 25degrees,cool end is around 19-20 degrees. temps measured by digital temp controllers via sensors at either end,(was lucky enuf to be workin at a place that used the temp controllers so swiped a few). the sensors are adjusted to read the same at room temp. the substrate is aspen. the cornie is about 700mm,not sure of age. He ate mouse 7th feb... 17th feb then took the last one on 22nd feb and nothing since. He is lively, ventures out nearly every day, climbs and investigates. He has a healthy look to his skin, drinks water from what i have seen most days.
