Posted - 21/03/2011 : 18:25:53 Just a quick question, Gino is eating his fuzzies in under two minutes and I was told that once he does this he should be moved onto a bigger sized mouse but I have 5 fuzzies left and when I fed him last night there wasn't much of a visible lump in his stomach and I know that that is also a sign that he is ready to move up a size but seeing as I still have 5 fuzzies to use up is it possible to feed him two fuzzies each feed instead of one?
Thanks |

Posted - 25/03/2011 : 20:22:26 Its okay and I thought that's what you meant so that's what I did, I let him roam around for a few minutes after he ate the first one then as soon as I put the second one in he ate it straight away, looked really fat afterwards! lol :D |

Posted - 24/03/2011 : 07:54:52 give him the first one, wait till it's gone down at least a inch or so ideally (maybe more - it's up to the snake really) then offer the second one i find some snakes will wolf down the second one but others take a little longer with it and may need leaving in peace and quiet |

Posted - 24/03/2011 : 00:20:29 I'm going to be feeding Gino his two fuzzies tomorrow night but I was just wondering how I would go about it, should I just put both the mice in with him and let him do whatever or should I give him one, wait awhile and then give him his second one? |

Posted - 23/03/2011 : 11:12:23 I do have the genus of the parents written down, the guy who sold her to me also owned the grandparnets. R\eally odd mix of genes. However for some reason was the only one in the clutch to show as a normal so I chose her because of this. Have been assured I would get some really nice snows from this. Will put a thread up about it when I find the blood line |

Posted - 22/03/2011 : 14:50:40 I feed Artemis mutiple food items on the regs, have seen her munch up to four fuzzies in one sitting but thats a one off. Shes 18mths and will generally have three every 7 days or so, makes it easier to digest a few smaller than one larger and I think the nutrional value is the same |

Posted - 22/03/2011 : 07:56:52 multiple prey items per feed is no problem |

Posted - 21/03/2011 : 19:57:51 You could feed 2 at a time to use them up. If there's no problem with eating 2 at a time then once they've all gone move up a size. |

Posted - 21/03/2011 : 19:35:55 kodi is on fuzzys and we didnt see her eat it so i dont kno the size of the lump it leaves, kyle has refused his feeds since we have had him the first . so he goin back to the rep shop for the lady to try and get him feeding . a rep guy looked at a pic of both mine and said they could easily eat two fuzzys @ 8 months |

Posted - 21/03/2011 : 18:50:15 Yeah, I don't see why not, my hoggie takes 2 fuzzies. She's still seems a little small for a small mouse but 2 fuzzies do her perfect ( when she's not refusing her food anyway Grrrrr!!) |
