Posted - 05/03/2011 : 00:10:29 Aww I'm with you and against you on the whole sneaky thing. I know how it is to be animal mad and to totally love your pets and can understand why yu've sneaked them in. On the other hand though as a parent I know that if my kids sneaked a pet in I really wouldn't be happy,I'd much prefer and expect them to ask me as its my house, therefore me paying the bills etc. Might be worth showing your mum some royals on the net so she gets to see the size and can read about the nature of them etc and then telling her if you think theres a python issue. I always asked for permission for pets as a child and unfortunately still do as an adult as I rent. Maybe tell your mum and get her to tell your dad, offer to pay more towards electric. Anything to get them on your side is worth it. |

Posted - 04/03/2011 : 21:51:15 Ahhh we've all done it. I had stick insects, I didn't hide them or anything just put something between them and the door so they couldn't be seen. Bit of a give away though when about 100 eggs I was incubating in the airing cupboard hatched and immediately escaped and took over the bathroom. My Mum saw the funny side of it but my sister was traumatised for ages. |

Posted - 04/03/2011 : 19:58:04 I am assuming your horses don't live in your house though. You said earlier "however if she finds out ones a python there may be some discussions..."- so you are keeping a snake in *her* house, without her permission, that seemingly she won't be happy about.
That is disrespectful.

Posted - 04/03/2011 : 19:23:26 Wow, I'm 22 and moved back in with my rents a few years back, but I wouldn't dream of disrespecting them by keeping any of my snakes without their permission! |
