I'm getting a bit confused with heat mats and as I want to make sure I look after my new conr properly when I get it I want to ask this question. I want to keep my corn in a glass tank and I have read that either the heat mat must be underneath the tank or you can put a layer of substrate on the bottom of the tank and sit the heat mat on top of it and then cover with another layer of substrate.

Can you tell me which is right please.

Not sure how to edit topics lol, having spoken to the reptile place for further info I have decided that glass tanks are not the best starter for my new corn and that a wooden viv would be far better.
