Hi im new to having a cornsnake they are beautiful creatures to watch.I have been handling my snake each day except 2 days after i feed it.Sometimes when i go to get ot out it seems to shy away does this mean it just wants to be left alone or should i persist in trying to pick it up i just dont want to scare it i think it has got used to me handling it many thx mark

The harsh truth is yes, it wants to be left alone. If you keep handling it for short periods twice a day or so it will calm down very quickly, and that can be important to reduce its stress when traveling or doing health checks, but never kid yourself that it likes being held.
