Right so I have decided to upgrade my normal thermostats for pulse thermostats one at a time, I ordered one the other day and have got it today but by mistake I ordered a dimming thermostat instead of a pulse thermostat, do these work as well or is it best to exchange it for the pluse stat?
It will only be used for a heat mat
Thanks

The habistat dimming stat has a minimum of 40 watts. I really would not reccommend using it for your heat mat a the stat wont work properly.

like headlow as said it depends on the make,if its microclimate that is a minium of 5w so could be used on a mat if its more than 5w.

It would be best to exchange it as many dimming stats have a minimum wattage of heating source they can be used with, eg my Habistat Dimmers have to be used with at least a 40 watt bulb.

The PP's can be used with mats no probs.
