feeding time with the snakes at work today

one of the ghost corns laids eggs earlier this week so was in need of food and was a bit aggy. got her out and she bit me on top of my knuckle, i was shocked at first as she is normally the most docile corn you guys are right a cat scratch can some up a adult corn snake bite

tbh hclue96, i think that u shouldnt really takes these videos and judge that this is what happens with the bigger snakes on a day - day basis, please remember that these videos are of what more than likely is a one-off occasion thats happened while being recorded.

also, if your not judging these snakes by what u saw on the vids, then i apologize, as i mean no offence what so ever

Agree with you there GMac , Ive been bitten by a royal in the past and i must say its defo a bite to rememeber compared to a cornsnake bite..

Royal bites I would imagine hurt... as in more of a sting from a proper adult. It's the weight behind the bite.

I got bit by my anery after she laid eggs last week, surprised you felt it to be honest! I only noticed when I had blood on my hands and panicked thinking I hurt her. And snake bites hurt way less than a real cat scratch XD

Royal bites I would imagine hurt... as in more of a sting from a proper adult. It's the weight behind the bite.

Really, who knew! So its not called a Burmese King Snake, or a Reticulated Milk Snake, I think I better throw out that Lidl guide to snakes.

I'm sure the Royal will sting a little bit, especially when bigger, good job they aren't bite happy.

Well done on over coming your first bite , wait until you deal with the big snakes then you may start to worry (boa's , pythons)
