Question:
I have my heat mat stuck to the outer underside of my exo terra glass tank. Is there any reason why u cant put it inside the tank instead. I have it connected up to a thermostat after all.

Appreciate feedback

Cheers
Mikey

i have mine inside the glass on the exo terra, and have done for the past three years no prob. Same with the bearded dragon tanks too. Haven't had a problem!

I just got an exo terra heat mat and put it inside my wooden viv all statted with my new pulse stat and it's not getting up to temp. I dont know if there's something about them that means that they don't seem to work as well inside than out I'm not sure or dont work with wooden vivs but as such my little guy is now very cold and we're switching back to the old mat until I can find something equivalent. That wasn't getting fully up to temp but it was better than the new one.

i cant see there being any reason why not mate, like you said you have got a thermostate, so no need to worry about over heating.
