Just brought Bob home and he appears to have half of the eye caps still on each eye....

One eye has come off and the other is still on. Im sure he will be fine!

When you say just brought him home i assume you mean from the dealer or pet shop in which case i would be having a stern word with said salesman about selling a snake with such an obvious problem thats not very responsible.
Hows he getting on have you sorted the problem yet?

i'd swap both his usual hides for damp ones so he has to use them and hopefully he'll sort it out himself. if that doesn't work the 3-7 days using damp hides will be good preparation for a bath and running a damp flannel/towel over him to try and remove it. |

Give him a moist hide in case he is having trouble getting rid of some shed skin...other than that I am stumped. I know with my gecko if he has probs shedding I use a moistened cotton wool bud to gently remove the excess skin but he is used to me and happy to let me do so and i'm honestly not sure if you could use the same method with snakes.
I have been advised to allow the snake to move through a slightly dampened towel to help remove shed thats not budging but before you do anything like that try the moist hide first and also check when the last time he shed was and if you can speak to the breeder and find out if there has been similar problem in the past.
