As a newbie I've read quite a lot and taken the 'Don't go to large with your Viv' for a new corn on board but have been wondering something.

Snakes are generally kept in partial/complete see through enclosures with lots of glass or clear plastic. Why do they get skittish and agrophobic when in too large a viv but not when looking through the glass to a huge outside world?

Just wondering.

Regards,
Tim

and it's generally recommended that you cover 3 sides of a glass or plastic enclosure so the snake feels less exposed

usally because theres places for them to hide if they do feel threatend and no open spaces were they could feel vunarable to be preyed on
therefore reducing stress :]
