Posted - 14/09/2010 : 12:29:39 I would also ouse them separaely as many problems can occur such as canibalism like so...
During the hatchling stage everything that moves it food and if one does eat the other the result is death for both snakes. |

Posted - 14/09/2010 : 11:22:17 Another vote for splitting them up. It's possible they will live happily together but the fact that they are male and female makes it quite likely that there could be problems ahead. Male and female Corns reach sexual maturity at different ages, males first, and as mentioned this can be a problem for the female. |

Posted - 14/09/2010 : 02:58:00 From what I've been reading on different forums you should definitely house them separately, if they decide to mate before they're 3 years old it can be very harmful to the female. I am new to keeping snakes myself, as I say, I just picked up on this from reading around. |

Posted - 13/09/2010 : 16:10:09 you need to keep a very watchfull eye on them if they are together especially if they are only a few months old.. read this thread, will give you more of an idea about corns sharing.. http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1070 |

Posted - 13/09/2010 : 14:23:37 welcome to the forum im guessing you keep them together? if so it would be advisable to separate them as they can be stressed out (corns dont usually live in pairs) and this could result in one or both of them not feeding, also in younger corns cannibalism can occur which isnt nice! however if they are being kept separately then please ignore the above generally people feed young hatchies once a week - i fed mine every 6 days when they were young and as they moved up to fuzzies it went up to once a week feeding separately will allow each of them to eat privately without the stress of another snake watching them ect
look forwards to seeing pics |

Posted - 13/09/2010 : 13:08:12 Hi Welcome to the forum. Feed seperately. It depends on how old/big they are on how often to feed them. How old are yours? Do tell us more about them, what colour (morph) are they, male/female, names, etc etc. |

Posted - 13/09/2010 : 12:55:07 Its good practice to leave them for a week with no handling or feeding, and yes defo feed them separately. are they living together in the same enclosure? Just a heads up this can be a touchy subject!
By the way welcome to the forum! :] |
