I have read many posts talking about bugs/mites and just wondered how they get them ??
Are they only introduced by adding other snakes to the viv or household ??
Or can they appear drom nowhere ??

Hi, there's a good sticky on the health section.
Mind you, I'd be interested to know how snakes can get them from 'brought-in' items, such as branches. I would have thought these bugs were 'snake-specific' so to speak, and that there was more danger from bringing a snake already infested with mites into the household.
I realise these things can be widespread in bad shops/bad breeders' premises.
Any views? |
