Posted - 04/09/2010 : 21:50:18 I hadn't even thought about my Ruby or my sons snake disappearing until your posts when up then I went and searched lost snakes on here! Big mistake, I have now given myself 2 restless nights worrying about it happening, but I'm now going to make checking the snakes before I go up to bed a habit, like saying goodnight to them both, I get up at 6:00am for work and before leaving the house I pop in and check to see if they are about! |

Posted - 03/09/2010 : 20:35:21 We've had people find them on curtain rails, behind photos on walls, inside washing machines, inside a speaker, inside a computer tower and inside a folder. If they can get their head in somewhere, then they will try to get in there. Have a good hunt behind fridges/freezers as well, and get some flour down between doorways and along skirting boards and near any other nooks and crannys and hopefully you'll be able to track him down. |

Posted - 03/09/2010 : 20:21:22 I lost my corn snake I had in the States once, again lid was on properly, etc... they really are fantastic escape artists! Where was he? My husband doesn't get the point of a "coat hook" and threw his jacket on the floor when he got home. My little Clayton was happily chilling under there. Not a baby, he was about 3 feet long at the time, but still worth a shot :) |

Posted - 03/09/2010 : 18:54:46 Yes, check and double double check the viv - you'll have done that already, of course, but you just wouldn't credit where the little gits can get to. The amount of times I've thought I've lost one and they were in there all the time ...
All the very best - do hope you find it! |

Posted - 03/09/2010 : 18:45:11 chill foxy panda, of course you arent a bad owner! You must be so panicked!!! My advice would be frst to double check the viv+the substrate, they can hide very well! Next, id start in your room, with your door shut - check EVERYWHERE!!!! especially dark/warm places! put some flour along the edges of all the doorways, so you'll be able to spot if your snake's been moving around! id defrost a pinky too, there's a sticky somewhere on the site about making bottle traps - il try to find it!!! |
