Posted - 01/09/2010 : 03:40:30 Hi
I was wondering whether thermostats should be turned down at night?
My son turns Tangos stat down to 24C - 25C (from approx 28C - 29C) at night, after we were advised to do so when we got him a year ago. The cool end of Tangos viv is usually about 23C - 24C.
However I was told last night not to bother turning it down and to just leave the stat set at around 29C day and night.
So which is right, do we need to turn the stat down or not?
Please let me know what you do.
Thanks a lot. |

Posted - 01/09/2010 : 16:04:39 Thanks for your answers from my night time temp question.
My son does remember every morning to turn the stat up without fail, but I will tell him from now on to leave the stat set at 28C - 29C at all times.
Thanks for your help. X |

Same here. They're pretty sensible. |

Posted - 01/09/2010 : 14:55:51 as it has no real benefit i don't personally...........if you've got a stat that has the ability for a night time drop then it should ideally just be 2-3*C. the problem with doing it manually is 'human error'.............forgetting to turn it back up again!

It could also have an impact on digesting food, although probably not a major one, I wouldn't. |
