Posted - 29/08/2010 : 16:47:46 I have just cleaned out Marge and changed her bedding from very small wood chips to Aspen, she seems more active and burrowing through it all day, which she didn't do with the chips. Are there any down sides to aspen bedding, what do you all use?.
also she is on normal mice as from today, i was a bit worried she would manage it, but she did with no probs.I am supprised how big she has got since April!! |

Yep, if you go on their website and get their e-mail address they will tell you the nearest supplier. I get mine from Pet's corner since it's the closet place. £8.40 for 20kg, farm and horsey shops will probably sell it cheaper though.
The shredded egg cartons is something called Megazorb. It is kinda dusty, one 1/4 of my snakes find this dust though! Although he does seem to find dust anywhere in my house.
Aubiose looks exactly like aspen. http://www.equi-therapy.net/equi-therapy/care/images/aubiose-hemp.jpg |

Posted - 30/08/2010 : 19:54:59 I get mine from a farm feeds shop. Same sort of places that people with horseys get their hay/straw from etc. |

Posted - 29/08/2010 : 19:36:32 i use hemp horse bedding called Aubiose, its a lot cheaper when you have quite a few snakes to keep clean (about a tenner for a huge bale) |

Posted - 29/08/2010 : 17:51:59 The aspen was cheaper in my local shop!
She was on small mice before. Won't be long and the local rabbits had better watch out at this rate.!! |

Posted - 29/08/2010 : 16:49:33 Aspen is fine, the only downside is the cost.
as for feeding normal mice, what kind of mice was she on before |
