I was changing cinders' water yesterday when I was met with the horrible sight of a green and yellow fuzzy. It was whole and largely intact so she must have brought it up Monday night after I fed her. My first thought was that it looked too big, closer to a small mouse than a fuzzy. I'm gonna leave her two weeks then try pinkies, I think. |

the important point is making sure you're providing an area warm enough and a gradient throughout the enclosure so the snake can 'do it's thing' regarding digestion  |

Aslong as your temps are fine i wouldn't worry, your snake knows when he needs to warm up or cool down. When i feed casper and reggie they very often head for the cool cave and neither have ever regurged. |

Hi, i just read that thread and im a bit worried coz of this-
lower temps are too cool for effective digestion meaning the food will remain in the digestive system for a much longer period of time, again, decay could take over and up comes the last meal.
When i feed rusty and put him bk in his viv, witch i hold his feeding tub thing up to his viv door and he gose in his self, but he gose strait for the cool end and stays there for about 2-3 days then shows his face.

Oh no, sorry to hear that, Josh (I thought it was only me in danger of regurge this morning after last night's red wine!)
If she's regurged in the night the mouse will have probably swollen with gases in the heat of the viv and that's why it looks bigger?
I'm no expert though, never had a regurge (and hope I never shall.) The nearest I came to it was finding a tail several days after feeding. My first thought was, oh no, regurge, but no, it was an undigested tail and an impacted mass of fur and faeces. The snake in question was fine.
I'm sure Cinders will be fine - she'll probably be annoyed at having to fast - isn't that because the gastric fluids are very acid and burning (sorry, don't know technical terms) after regurge and snake's stomach has to be left empty in order to return to normal?
