That's brilliant - I must get to that shop.

If you go to page 12 on the photos forum and look at JesseJamez666's 'New Beetlejuice Setup' there are some really good photos of creative use of plants and junglevine.

Hope you are having good time arranging Tango's viv.

Sorry Sta~ple - spelled your name wrong and haven't logged on properly which means I can't edit ... really has been one of those days!

Hi, yes, been trying to look at the Dunelm website but not getting anywhere. Sorry - I've been getting a bit mixed up - been one of those days and my laptop's kept losing the internet.

I should have differentiated properly between the jungle vine, which is that stuff you can bend and twist - and yes, it is really strong - as long as it's properly fixed to the viv wall, a snake can't bend it - and plant vine. I was thinking of plant vine as that stuff they use for aquarium plants - thin bendy plastic. But that ivy St~ple mentioned from Dunelm, which sounds strengthened, sounds great. (I must make the effort to get to Dunelm and have a look round.)

Hi, I've been trying to look on their website but it's not very accessible. Hey, does anyone know, is it one of those places where you've got to buy a card beforehand in order to shop, or can you just go and buy things in there like an ordinary shop (if you see what I mean?)

They are very strong. I doubt a snake could bend them much. A full grown might be able to bend the thin version. They feel like they have something like heavy duty cable running through the middle. It might be worth going to a shop and seeing for yourself

I use some Ivy plants from dunhelm mills, seems to hold my snakes when they climb fine.

Edit: Opps sorry I might have been off in a werid little world The ivy plants at dunhelm aren't like those rep vines and you can bend them into shape easily, but your not going to be able to make fantastic shapes because of all the leaves. It's just basicly a long plant with wire in it put my snakes has climbed from the bottom to the top of his viv and he's a heavy guy (about 1kg at the moment!) and he hasn't fallen or bent them out of place. They are about £3.49 though. It really is all base on how you want to hang anything, like from across either side or from top to bottom or just a little something to climb on.

If you want somthing super steardy, you could fix branches like java ones from a bird cage, normal branches or something like a broom handle/ curtain rail if your good at DIY.

Dunhelm you can walk in and buy the stuff. Other than that, maybe sreach round pound shops or something for plants but I don't know how study they would be.

Yes, they would, and they're great, you can just bend them into the shape you want. If you go on the photos forum there might be some pics of set-ups that show them - they really do look good.

Hi there. The only ones I've seen are the Exo-Terra jungle vines which come in three widths. If you're feeling wealthy, different widths look great when twisted together, and of course will be stronger, but you could just double up a length of medium. Tango will try to climb on the thin plastic plant vine, but snakes are pretty wise - he'll give up if he doesn't feel safe, I reckon. Still, best to have it secured at frequent intervals so that he can't tangle himself up in any long lengths.

That Dunelm Mills kdlang suggested looks great - there are a few in towns near me - might get on a bus one day and go and have a look round - a lot cheaper than PAH.
