Aubiose, it's basically aspen labelled for horses but it's fine for snakes and is much cheaper than snake and other reptile labelled aspen. Very super absorbent for poos but one out of my four snakes seems to get covered in the dust and dirt and sneezes from it. It is also cheap and is made from paper pulp I think, it looks like egg boxes lol

we use aspen on our corns, was where advised a few days ago to use orchid bark for our royal, but its so wet, im gong to have to bake some to dry it out and put another new lot in our royals cos the humidity in theres even to much for him i think! eek!

I use Aspen, but there are quite a few which are suitable. Have a little look at this sticky http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1876

hmm i think its more of a personal choice than any thing - tho the majority probably use aspen because i think the bark chips need drying out in the oven to prevent to much humidity? and aspens easier to spot check for poo......

i think its called aspen
sullysteve Posted - 23/08/2010 : 16:24:22
i use that woodshaving stuff, not sure of the actual name for it tho. I'm sure someone knows on here.
