Posted - 22/08/2010 : 19:32:54 well sunday afternoon had once again come round so as usual all mice defrosted and start getting the snakes out 1 by 1. only trouble is i got to cypress and she has vanished!!!!!!!! now she is only a young snake so still relatively small bout 50g and my god the gap she must of escaped through was so tiny. she only had to go and be 1 of me favs as well...
spent the rest of the afternoon totally gutting the room including moving the viv stack in and out, to find nothing.. i estimate her time of escape as only a day or 2 ago as she eat last sunday and she had shed prior to escaping, which was amusing as it is as though she left a diversionary tactic.
arghhh where can she be.. i hope not in the airing cupboard as there are pipes in and out of the apartment
is it worth leaving a small mouse out do you reckon to she if she is about to find it?? at least if i dont catch her in the act but it goes i know she is still somewhere safe and sound...
arghhh im gutted |

Posted - 22/08/2010 : 20:07:41 Good luck. Hope she turns up for you. Do you have understanding neighbours who can keep an eye out for her if she manages to get out of the apartment? |

Have a little search for lost snake or something similar, as this is a topic that has been widely discussed and you will find alot of advice, tips and tricks... |

Posted - 22/08/2010 : 19:41:19 Stay calm, there's a very high chance she'll still turn up. Making a bottle trap would be useful and leaving food might work, although she has recently fed so therefore won't need food, although they are opportunity feeders. There are some really good guides on here on how to make bottle traps and methods of finding snakes, use the search button and see what you can find.
Don't worry, everything will be okay! Even if it takes months there is a chance you will still find her =] |
