Posted - 23/08/2010 : 16:54:57 He should be fine untill you get home. If you were worried you could buy one of those heat paf things as a temporary heat source. |

Posted - 23/08/2010 : 16:45:43 Thing is its a very long time, i only have my other royal out no longer than about 20 mins cos i can feel how quickly he gets cold, thats why im worried. plus i will have to put it in the crech when there and i have no idea if that offers heating, so thats another 1+ without heat if it dosnt. |

Posted - 23/08/2010 : 13:11:55 Bit off topic from the thread, but We are thinking of getting another royal at donny in sept, its a good 3-4 hours drive home, will it be ok in the car without a heat source for that long or is there anything i can use, maybe a hot water bottle to keep it warm? |

Posted - 23/08/2010 : 12:04:28 i've often wondered whether a small hot water bottle would suffice if i ever had to travle anywhere with billi, obviously set at 30 degrees. |

Posted - 23/08/2010 : 11:36:40 Its nothing to do with enjoying handling, its about the snake being able to wander about and find new hiding places, search for food etc, if your snakes enjoy being handled so much, put them on the floor and see which way they go, I can promise that it won't be back to you.
When you took your snake around for a fun trip, how did you make sure his temperature didn't drop dangerously low? 22 to 23 is high hibernation temps, much below 20 is deep hibernation temps, 15 could be fatal. |

Yeah, call it curiosity or what, or that they see humans as a safe tree or they want to climb them because they're there, but when my lot want to come out - they wanna come out! I was typing a post yesterday with a snake in my ARMPIT!
But isnt that "want to climb" feel mean that they have an emocion (sorry, thats how they spell it at SEAT "AUTO EMOCION") |
