Posted - 19/08/2010 : 21:55:15 If he hasn't eaten then there's nothing wrong with leaving him without a heatsource for a shortwhile. If he has a heat source, then try to get it further away from the log, because then hopefully he'll want to get to that and make his way out. |

Posted - 19/08/2010 : 20:20:46 At this time of year, in a room without any cold draughts, you could give him an hour or so in my opinion. Probably longer - many people say that corns are fine at room temps in summer - but I don't claim to be an expert. Certainly no need to panic just yet. Someone may be along soon with more experience in this.
Would it be possible to transfer his heat source to the viv? Even if it's going to be fiddly? Then you could leave him in there overnight without worrying.
All the best! |

Posted - 19/08/2010 : 20:19:01 Keep an eye on him, i would of thought if he didnt come out before then he will definitely come out when in search of some heat, you can grab him then and pop him back in his faun. |

Posted - 19/08/2010 : 19:43:35 as said, just pop the log in his viv/rub and he'll come out when he's ready.
Not long after i had billi she decided to get into the workings of my printer, i had to strip it down and hook her out, couldnt exactly put a printer in her rub with her.
Try not to worry.
PS. probably bin the pinkie for the sake of about 50p, better to be safe than sorry.... |

Posted - 19/08/2010 : 19:33:22 Oh dear, been there done that! They can get where water can't!
Put the log back in his viv and close the doors and leave him to come out in his own sweet time, as he will, bless him. You didn't really need to tempt him with the pinky but as it's his feeding day tomorrow, why not? Maybe just leave the pink outside the tree trunk so you can see he's eaten it.(You don't want him to scoff it and go back into the trunk to digest it.)
Good luck - he'll be fine! |
