Is it ok to feed inside the viv or do you have to take them out?

hello, I've had my corn a few weeks (first ever snake) and I got advised by my brilliant local reptile shop to feed inside the Viv so that's what I've done twice now and he ate no probs, hope this helps a bit.

I feed all mine in their vivs.

i feed outside the viv an a clear tub. that way theres no chance of her eating substrate and a can watch it better, plus she strikes like a looney and would launch it everywhere.

I Tried feeding in and out of her faun, i settled on out and in one of my wife's large tupperware tubs ( she dosen't know yet!) as i felt it was more controlled and the kids could watch. It's also easyer to get pics of feeding.

I do make her work for her dinner a bit so she strikes and constricts, cought me out the first few times as i underestimated how quick they can move when they want to.

Both mine now get fed on the carpet. Both strike and both constrict tho I do make them chase around the prey for a bit first to let them think they have "caught" it. I did have a problem with Colin and I used to viv feed him as thats what i was told to do by my rep dealer but i got fed up with wrestling aspen out of the sides of his gob and eventually got him to feed on the carpet like Xena LOL. Its what works best for you as said there is no right and wrong.

some of mine get fed in their vivs some out... depends how many snakies im feeding and how much time i have.

cant say ive ever heard of them being interested in the kitchen towel though... think they prefer mice tbh ;).

if i put it on a kitchen towel in her viv she will not be interested in the tissue will she lol

I feed mine outside the rub's mines don't strike feed just in case they think I'm food when i put my hand in to get them out lol its a preference really.

Alice refuses to eat outside her viv..... I put her mouse in a plastic tub in the viv for feeding.

I generally dont strike feed, I wait for wife to plate it up then eat it.

My snakes on the other hand if they strike they strike, they are all given the opportunity, if not its just left for them chow down on.

for the ones i know will strike i will encourage them to do so, but for the big softys that won't they get the mouse thrown in and they have to find it themselves

I feed mine in a seperate tub. I just dangle the mouse in. 2 of the corns tend to strike and sometimes constrict but one just takes it and gobbles it up.

mine are all fed in their RUBs, otherwise it would take me all week to do a feed :)

I feed in a tub, used to feed in the viv but one corn started going of my hand whenever I put it in and the other would drag his food off the kitchen towel and anything else I put the mouse on and he would drag it through the substrate.
