Hello, I brought my butter home today for the first time, took me a 4 hour train journey..only problem is the lady in the shop told me she THINKS i should feed him his pinkie straight away, but i've been told by other people to leave him to acclimate for a while. should i just put the pinkie in and see what happens? I dont want to stress him out after being in cars and trains almost 6 hours..thankyou for all your help!

Hi and welcome. Congrats on your butter baby. I echo what has been said above. People in the rep/pet shops don't always know what they are talking about so any other questions you have you will find great answers on here.

He will be best left to settle for the week first. It really won't hurt if he's not fed.

leaving it a week to settle before feeding probably the best idea, and to be honest the snake will already be stressed from its travles so you would only be adding to it.
