Posted - 31/07/2010 : 10:11:27 i have my stat probe directly on top of the mat (not inside faun) but i guess it depends on the size of enclosure you have |

Posted - 31/07/2010 : 00:56:22 HOw can i do that? Don't i need the probes to be right down on the mat? And does it matter if the snake touched them or sleeps on top? |

Posted - 31/07/2010 : 00:02:18 in that case make sure it is set to have the mat between 27-29 deg C, the mat will not overheat. |

Posted - 30/07/2010 : 23:54:14 answered your other thread for that one,
edited to add, you really need t get a stat, this will cause heating issues, least of all with your snake possibly ending up with burns. Unstatted mats can reach very high temperatures. |

Posted - 30/07/2010 : 23:53:27 yeah i do. He's called Alice. I hear that hides over the heat mat cause insulation so i only have a hide over the cold end. Would that stop my corn going over to the warm end? |

Posted - 30/07/2010 : 23:47:53 best with either a matstat (on / off) or a pulse stat both these mats are fine for mats. you really only need 1 cm of aspen over the hot end dont really need much more than that. Do you already have a corn living in the viv, |
