Posted - 29/07/2010 : 02:23:46 I looked into reptile insurance. I think it's a rip off too and agree with everyone else...put some money into a building society/other interest account each week instead. At least by doing that the money is still yours at the end of the 'insurance premium' year if you didn't need it!! |

Many of the "natural" causes, like say slug laying can be put down by the insurance companies as ill-keeping.
I dont have my snakes insured, no point.
I personally dont think theyr'e worth it. Sounds mean, I'd do anything for my snakes, and I can, but insuring them.. seems to me like a waste. |

Posted - 28/07/2010 : 18:27:00 most insurance companys will wiggle out of paying out by claiming the snakes husbandry was wrong, most cases can be put down to how the set up is and they wont pay.Your better off putting a few quid into a piggy bank each week. |

Posted - 28/07/2010 : 16:24:05 There are several reptile/exotic company's, I got a quote that was like £100. I don't think you need an insurance company for snake, *most* snakes don't get any serious health problems I don't think, your money spend on monthly/yearly payments towards an insurance company would be better off put in the pot incase anything bad does happen to snakie, in my opinion.
http://www.exoticdirect.co.uk/index.php?fuseaction=home.main is the only one that I know of. |
