tried out the heat mat and it seems when i put the thermostat to 31 degrees and i use the digi themometer and it goes awya up to over 40 degrees! Are these thermostats accurate?

Also the thermostat's light isn't going red when it comes on. When does the light go on? The instructions suck!

I have answered your light problem in your other post. With regards to your temps 31 is too high for a corn you want to be aiming for between 27 and 30d c. I have mine set for 28 and my two corns are happy with that.

the dial on the stat is rubbish, you need to set the dial on the stat using the reading from the digital thermometer.
