Posted - 28/07/2010 : 10:36:07 I use orchid bark in one side of Sids viv and aspen in the other side. He likes both and can choose for himself. Just take note of the points raised already. It's personal choice really and whatever you and your snake are happiest with. |

Posted - 27/07/2010 : 11:45:31 You can use Orchid Bark (I used too) but as Hannah has said you need to be sure it is dry as it can cause humidity problems. You can buy it ready dried but I would still dry it out in the oven just to be on the safe side. One major drawback with bark is it is very difficult to see poo's in it. You may want to try aspen. A lot of us on here use aspen it is very snake freindly and very easy to distinguish a poo when one is done.

Posted - 26/07/2010 : 23:23:40 yeah you can but its recommended that you put it in the oven for a while first to dry it out properly - otherwise it can cause the humidity to rise in the viv/faun |
