I have had Colin since september 09 and have never witnessed a shed. According to his records he is due to do the buisness tonight so I am ready for a long night of watching an empty viv until he puts in an appearance. This time I will get him.....

Lol, it is frustrating

I keep waiting for Cleo to strike when I feed her but she just looks, sniffs and eventually eats. Even Indie strikes and she's only a hatchling lol.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you when the next shed is due

Lol!!!!!

I just choked on my coffee reading this lol, hubby's just given me a funny look

Awww, never mind, better luck next time

I've seen Cleo shed twice but never Sizzle. I'm sure they know the minute you take your eyes off them

aw no that sucks!!
well next time make sure you have the following..
bucket.. for obvious reaons..
batteries.. just incase!
camcorder.. incase you really do have to leave the room - or just to have running all night..
tea/coffee/redbull.. to keep you awake!
cakes/biscuits.. as above :)

maybe try and sort out some soft lighting over his viv so that next time you can see it - if you use it for a few hours a night or something over a few weeks it might get him used to it

Haha I do love snakes. They are cheekier than my pup. I got all excited last night cos I knew Peanut was due to shed any day. I haven't seen him out and about for over a week so when I saw him out last night I got all excited, ran upstairs and got my eldest son out of bed to come and watch. There we were, camera ready sat at the dining table to watch the show. He put on a great performance of rubbing his head on his toilet roll tube, the side of his faun, his wooden tube. He disappeared around the back of his faun where I couldn't see. When he didn't reappear after a minute I went over to have a look and couldn't see anything of him. So I thought it was a false alarm. Then noticed something peaking from beneath the wooden tube. Yeah the little beggar had started it off in his hide, lost most of it in there then came out the inch to slither under the tube to lose the rest. We missed it all.

Trust you to laugh (((NOT FUNNY)))

It went like this....

Midnight still nothing OH goes to bed.
1AM Still Nothing
2AM Still Nothing
2.30AM Realised it was probably light from telly (got a big plasma) that was putting him off. Turned off telly and realised I couldnt see anything in the dark. Went to get camera set it up and put it on night vision...Perfect!!!
3.00am Still nothing Camera battery dies goes to kitchen to get new batteries come back and put them in camera. Turn on camera and noticed something big and black in back of viv. Thought oh no turned on light and realised it was the biggest turd I have ever seen. Looked around Viv and found a 45" skin wrapped around his warm hide. Colin is sitting in his cold hide wearing a shiney new suit.

Two or Three minutes I was gone getting batteries. I cant beleive it.
