they have a sticky pad at the back i think
they have a piece of plastic round the bulb that u push in to turn them on
they are great, u could put 2 in a tank at either end to make the viv nice and light

I've got Reggies all set up, the only place i could put it was under the window where his faun was so it is a little dark. I'll probably pick some up from the ASDA next week, not sure i an be bothered missioning to the Ikea.

Light isn't necessarily needed, though it can help if the snake is kept in a room with low light. For example my snakes are kept in a converted roof space with very low amounts of natural light, so I use light bulbs to give a 12 hr on/12 hr off light cycle. I have read that this can help stop snakes from going off food during the winter period.

Lights can be used for this and for viewing purposes but a UV light isn't needed, if you want to do this you can just get a normal energy efficient light bulb or LED lights.

As above, waste of cash. You don't need a light of any kind in there, just a mat and stat.
