My corn snake was hatched 22/07/2000. She eats well and is healthy, however last week she didn't eat her mouse and rattled at me when I removed it and gave her fresh water. She has now produced 4 eggs. Is this normal for a female living on her own? Should I remove them?

It is not so much a case as not being normal Grace, but more a case of being rare. Females can lay eggs without having been with a male. They are most likely infertile and can be removed.

I dont know much about it myself but this thread may help - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5693&SearchTerms=slugs

Sorry I cant be of any more help.

I would definitely say that it wasn't normal but I have heard that there have been a few rare cases of a female who hadn't mated producing and laying eggs, if she hasn't been in any contact with a male it is obvious that the eggs aren't fertilised so I would remove them, however I do not have any experience with this happening so maybe some of the more experienced snake owners would be able to help more. They would be able to to give more advice.

Sorry I can't be more of a help and I hope your girl gets back to normal!
