Posted - 30/06/2010 : 09:55:06 In the last few days, Rusty has been putting his head in and under the water in his bowl, why is he doing this, he not dew for a shed and he feeding fine, do thay like water, can thay swim. Very strange |

Posted - 30/06/2010 : 13:36:38 He's probably just having a good nosey about, corns, any snake for that matter can swim exceptionally well, I wouldn't think its anything to worry about. |

Posted - 30/06/2010 : 10:16:25 Not 100% sure why Rusty may be doing this Paul....there could be a number of reasons, some that I wont know.
It could just be him drinking, some corns do put their heads right under the water and seem to enjoy it more than others. It may be that he was hot and trying to cool down.
Has he tried to get his body in? If he has then it may be worthwhile checking for mites as they sometimes try and soak as they are uncomfortable. It is probably worthwhile checking for mites anyway as the head in one area that can become badly infested. Just look for little black dots moving around. Hopefully it wont be that and will just be him having a drink!
