The thing is with the APA is that it is propaganda. 'Tantamount to animal abuse' is just a way to goose attention for their cause, and they think that the small display boxes that are used for displaying animals at shows are how they are kept peranantly.
Unfortunatly, people who see this but are not in the know also come away with the same idea, including the local councils who have a say in things... |

from that link you sent.. "conditions and treatment for most animals was ‘tantamount to animal abuse’." are they serious!? people in this trade aren't in it for the money, they're in it because they LOVE the animals. pretty much everyone takes care of their pets even the breeders! makes me so angry when they have no clue what they're on about.. take up a new hobby, like train spotting. |

There has always been this negative attitude with all shows from my understanding, no one has died yet and I am sure there is some kind of security. If it was a real threat, the venue holders would cancel I am sure of it. |

Yeah the APA try and worm their way into every show they can, they really are a joke, however from reading the thread I linked and one other, it would appear that it was actually BRAS that cancelled the show, not the venue as they have lead people to believe, so there are a lot of very angry people out there! |
