I bought some more rope for one of these vivs but I could not bring myself to braid it so I just used it to tie the bamboo together.

Also I got my lights from Ikea and mentioned you so your commission should come through shortly

Yep an cheaper that having to completely replace set up. But is only an idea for now will see how he behaves for a while. May just rethink heat lamp/guard as they his fav attractions right now
Donnie Posted - 02/08/2012 : 22:40:42
Chris I like your thinking, bumble can have his very own highrise
a33272 Posted - 02/08/2012 : 21:53:20
Well you see its like this haha......... bumble already has a 4/2/2 so yes ax48 would be a good idea but there over 200 wonga an then I'd have to swop everything over heating an lighting wise.......
Heres my idea an ex48 I can pick up for under 100, is exactly the same width as mine an only 10mm deeper so one will sit on the other quiet well then once fixed together an after a play with a jigsaw to ummm make a large hole....... vola a 4ft wide 4ft tall 2ft deep home. :-)

Thanks Donnie, so I'm not as doowally as I thought. It still looks like an M.C. Echer fabrication.

Chris is going to fit a ceiling mirror to confuse poor Bumble.

I am not expecting it to be a home for life for her but it will do her for a couple of years hopefully by which time we should of moved house and then I can plan out exactly what I am going to do for her. Not sure if I will go for a AX48 or maybe make something, will just have to see when we get a bigger house and what suits. I plan to put Sid in the vx48 when he is older as he should grow a bit bigger than a corn being a hybrid and he is so inquisitive I am sure he will love lots of room

How are you going to "cheat" space for bumble?
a33272 Posted - 02/08/2012 : 20:20:02
U may find eventually that's not big enough as in height wise, they do recommend 4/2/2 minimum. Bumble is is a 4/2/2 an I'm currantly having to contemplate going higher as he's constantly trying to get higher. Although I do intehd to cheat slightly if I do decide too.

Not sure exactly as I got it from a shop and it was advertised as CB11 and I have asked them twice to find out the month of birth but they never got back to me on either occasion. I measured her last shed (about 5 weeks ago) and it was 3' and she was weighed 3 weeks ago at 121 grams. She shed again last night so there may be a few cheeky pics later if she comes out her hide.
