I'm painting onto mdf for a viv and I was wondering if a couple of coats of a hard wearing enamel varnish mean I don't have to use yacht varnish?

Their website isn't that descriptive though it just says 'varnish' £7.99 but in the picture it has one with yacht varnish on. Other than that its B and Q at £15

Id just leave it to air out for a long time to make sure there are no fumes etc.
