Posted - 08/01/2010 : 09:45:09 That is gross, lol!! When we fed Ossie on Tuesday there was a little bit of blood and a foot left over and that grossed me out, god knows what i'd be like with a proper disembowelment, lol! |

Posted - 07/01/2010 : 15:46:08 He has always struck for his food. That was his best constriction to date. I leave the pinkie out for a few hours (till thawed) then 5 mins on or near the radiator to get it nice and warm. Its the first one he has popped but he really did go for it. Amazing to watch! So gentle and playful to handle then at tea time its angry baby time. |

Do you defrost in water? If theyr'e in bre water they have a habit of popping. If you do, put them in an empty sarnie bag and put in a mug of warm water for 20 mins max, or leave them at room temperature on the side somwhere for a few hours.
I love his little tail poking out the top! Making sure it's a dead Stuart alright! |

Posted - 07/01/2010 : 04:19:56 What an amazing photo Rik , with a superb coil and I just love Khan's tail poking out the top !
Wish mine would coil like that ....although I am glad I dont have to witness a disembowelment for real, it is bad enough seeing it in your pic !!
One way to avoid messing up the chippings would be to feed him out of the viv...save on the cleaning up!!

Love the photo as well. How do you feed him to get him to strike like that? |

I would however throw away all the bits of chippings that got guts on it. The enzymes from the mouse will cause bacteria build up and also run the risk of keeping your snake in 'hunt' mode. |
