Hey guys, I started a thread yesterday about getting my first snake and today i went and chose one and picked up my starter kit!
Its 8 weeks old, and we've named it Kev.... I was lucky because my girlfriend doesnt like red eyes or too brightly colored snakes because she thinks theyre scary, when we got there they only had amals and a couple of snows, and this blood red, It had brown eyes and she loved the color!
So i got the snake i wanted all along!
Sorry that the pic isnt great, i will have to invest in a camera to get some proper ones!

Thanks guys! I dont know its a boy for sure we will find out lol.... I beleive he has been renamed to Derek or Del for short aswell.... Its so frustrating not being able to touch him, mainly because all Siobhan wants to do is play with it and she wont shut up lol.
He seems happy so far, he's looked around his tank and has found his hide, and hasnt really moved all that much since last night I need to get a digital thermomater asap so i can double check his temps, apparently the dial thermos arent great and on that the temp in the warm end reads 24-25degree C so i need to get that checked properly. |

Lee - despite the not so good pic that is a beautiful looking snake! Cant wait to see more pics of Kev. And am pleased your OH fell in love with the one you wanted  !!
