Posted - 15/11/2009 : 21:39:23 Congrats... its good to watch isn't it.... I still often jump when Tango constricts... although I have to say, he's the most contrary corn I've ever heard of.... Sometimes feeds, sometimes doesn't, sometimes constricts, sometimes winds up to opening his mouth by smelling it's bum first and then inspecting the tweezers...... anyone else have one that displays as many 'eating variations'??? |

Posted - 15/11/2009 : 17:16:16 None of my Corns strike or constrict yet, and neither does my King (the king is a nervous feeder)... but my Bairds Rat Snake strikes and semi constricts. It is great to watch them do it isn't it.
Congrats on the first of many constrictions! :) |

Posted - 15/11/2009 : 16:27:46 mine doesn't constrict really. he puts a bit of his body on the mouse and thats it, is there something you have to do to get them to constrict |

Posted - 15/11/2009 : 12:18:10 Well done Toby! I too thought one of mine was getting confused re what to do with a mouse after it constricted. Then the Hawk reminded me the snake needed to "kill" the mouse and commented it was really important to kill dead mice before eating them .
Possibly Toby was doing the same thing: killing the prey he had just caught!
