Fantastic snakes, especially anery...she is gorgeous! Question - when does a sub adult become an adult, and when does a snake become a sub adult? (think I should have asked those the other way around, sorry, lol!!)

Thanks Sub Adult means not a juvenile but not quite an adult. You would class most snakes adult at about 3yrs old when they reach sexual maturity. Although males mature quicker than females he still not quite adult size yet. A hatchling would be from when first hatched untill a year old then there classed as juveniles untill about 2 years then be sub adult untill there 3yrs. Hope this is making sense lol :D If this is wrong can someone correct me lol |

lovely snakes, i love your anery just becareful with the hatchling feeding on the substrate as you dont want a piece to get stuck to the pinkie
Thanks :D To be honest all the years (3) i have been working with snakes i haven't come across a snake getting impacted from ingesting aspen they seem to pass it through ok :D I do make sure there there isn't lots of aspen on the pinkie though if there is i pic it off with my feeding tongs :) |
